In 2017, South East Water implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its enterprise ERP Financial platform for UK finance operations. The program targeted consolidation of transactional accounting and statutory financial reporting across the organization, which employs approximately 1100 people and operates in the United Kingdom.
Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, cash management, procurement related financial controls, and consolidated financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized multi-entity accounting, statutory compliance workflows, and role based security aligned to finance and procurement functions.
The implementation used a cloud SaaS architecture based on Oracle Cloud ERP with configuration driven extensions, and the delivery team included Program Project Management Consultant resources with Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Cloud and Oracle Database expertise. Deployment architecture focused on tenancy level configuration controls, auditability, and configuration governance consistent with enterprise financial controls.
Governance was organized as a program level project with explicit project planning, change control, and cutover sequencing, supported by a Program Project Management Consultant assigned from March 2016 through November 2017 to coordinate configuration, testing, and rollout across finance and procurement workflows. The program emphasized standardized finance processes, configuration baselines, and formal change management to align operational workflows with regulatory reporting requirements.

In 2012, South East Water implemented MHR iTrent HR to manage core personnel workflows. The Core HR deployment was used to centralize recruitment, onboarding and HR record management as part of a fixed term HR program supporting three HR Advisors and the Head of HR.
The implementation configuration emphasized end to end recruitment workflows and onboarding, with MHR iTrent HR used to set up starters and leavers in the HRMS and payroll system. A training database was established to capture staff development requirements and forward planning of courses, and the platform supported administration of an Apprenticeship Scheme from selection through monitoring.
Operational coverage included day to day HR administration, recruitment coordination including assessment centres, and close liaison with payroll on salary and benefits. The role also handled invoicing with cost coding and recording, and recorded grievance and disciplinary notes and investigation meeting outcomes within HR processes, aligning personnel records with payroll entries for the 1100 employee organization.
Governance and process work was formalized through participation in a monthly Process Review Team with the HR Manager and Payroll Manager to streamline HR and payroll workflows. The deployment included training two temporary staff into HR admin roles, embedding operational procedures for starters, leavers and training capture within MHR iTrent HR.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 South East Water deployed IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management to strengthen customer-facing maintenance workflows and raise its Service Incentive Mechanism score. The implementation targeted operational responsiveness across a network that includes more than 14,000 kilometers of water mains, aligning Asset Performance Management with customer service and field operations to provide up-to-the-minute updates on maintenance and repairs.
The rollout combined a mobile workforce management solution built on IBM Mobile Foundation with IBM Maximo Asset Management Scheduler to orchestrate planned schedules and the issuing of work. Functional capabilities implemented included mobile field data capture for maintenance and repair reporting, scheduler-driven work issuing, and centralized asset and job visibility within IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management.
Integrations focused on connecting field contractors, operational managers, and the contact center to a single operational view, eliminating a previous two working day delay caused by paper forms and manual rekeying. South East Water engaged IBM Business Partner Vetasi for the deployment, and the solution was configured to surface job status and completion details directly to customer service channels for improved inquiry handling.
Governance and process changes centered on mobile-first field procedures, scheduler-based work control, and new customer service workflows to manage and communicate progress. Outcomes reported by South East Water included 99 percent faster access to maintenance and repair reports, improved customer satisfaction scores, and stronger positioning to secure future funding under the regulatory SIM framework.
