In 2018, Southern California Edison implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to support Compensation Management within its HR organization. Administrators carried out day to day SuccessFactors system administration, managed user accounts and profiles, developed forms and reports using the SAP SuccessFactors forms designer tool, and performed troubleshooting to sustain continuous service delivery for the implemented modules. The implementation included configuration of standard compensation and performance linked workflows consistent with Compensation Management functional practices.
Operational coverage was focused on HR stakeholders as primary users, supporting compensation planning workflows, performance driven pay processes, and employee data maintained in Employee Central. The assigned system lead acted as the main point of contact for SAP SuccessFactors system related issue resolution and managed recurring operational activities, with availability for after hours critical system outages and changes as required.
Governance emphasized close collaboration with HR to capture data requirements, business goals and constraints, translating those inputs into system configurations, report definitions and support procedures. Ongoing responsibilities included staying current with HR technology developments and demonstrating applicable SuccessFactors updates at SCE to inform configuration and support decisions.

In 2020 Southern California Edison implemented SAP Enterprise Asset Management as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to centralize asset records and support IT and field asset workflows. The SAP Enterprise Asset Management deployment was positioned to support IT Asset Management, hardware procurement tracking, equipment provisioning for new hires, and maintenance of service area components across the utility organization.
Configuration work focused on asset master data, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, inventory and procurement support, and configuration management capabilities consistent with Enterprise Asset Management practices. The implementation was designed to interoperate with business process automation, enabling automated creation and update of asset and procurement records from upstream workflow systems.
Integrations included direct operational linkage with Pega workflow applications and with HR and facilities systems cited in project documentation, specifically SAP HCM, Archibus, Taleo, Remedy, OKTA, and Casewise, with data exchanged via SOAP and REST services used by the Pega platform. Governance and process changes were driven by digitization efforts such as the Service Transition Planning and Support process, and by Pega-based automation of procurement pre-requisites and PSPS approval cases, the latter reducing manual processing time by 60 percent per project records while simplifying reporting and maintenance.
