Integrations tied Deltek CostPoint to Salesforce CRM for business development workflows and to inhouse applications such as the Travel and Expense System and the Purchase Requisition System, using ETL and middleware scripts written in PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, XML, JSP, PHP and shell scripting. The Sarnoff merger migration effort included ETL of Sarnoff data into SRI systems and adjustments to CostPoint data models and business rules to accommodate acquired projects. Science Metrics and the Contract Research and Development Dashboard were connected to ERP Financial reporting feeds to surface financial health and backlog information for program managers.
Governance was run as a managed program with analysis, design, development and phased deployment overseen by the internal systems lead, and release cycles planned for phased enhancements to reporting and approval workflows. Operational scope covered finance, project management, business development, procurement and travel operations across SRI International, and the implementation standardized requisition to purchase order and expense authorization processes. Deltek CostPoint is referenced throughout as the central ERP Financial application supporting sponsored research accounting at SRI International.
