In 2016, SSL Digital implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial solution. The implementation targeted core finance functions at the Mexico-based communications company, formalizing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, treasury and collections activities within Oracle E-Business Suite.
Configuration work focused on AR and AP modules and the Banks module inside Oracle E-Business Suite, with explicit capabilities for identification and application of bank deposits, Electronic Banking Management including Electronic Transfers, and Banking Reconciliations. The deployment included setup of antiquity reports of balances, weekly income reports and reports by UEN for management, and monthly income projections to standardize financial reporting within the ERP Financial footprint.
Integrations were established with external web portals and banking partners as part of cash application and collections workflows, using web portals such as PH, Liverpool, Marti Group, Nutrisa, Vips and Banamex among others. Operational coverage included finance, treasury and credit and collections, with reporting surfaced to management and by UEN to support oversight across business units.
Governance and process work emphasized purification and administration of the client portfolio and formalized recovery processes for past due accounts, including coordination of client visits as part of collections. Reconciliations and electronic banking processes were institutionalized in Oracle E-Business Suite to centralize cash application and support ongoing AR AP controls within the ERP Financial environment.
