In 2019, St Vincent de Paul Society VIC implemented InterCheck to manage candidate police and right to work checks within its BackGround Screening processes. InterCheck was used operationally by the People Support and Operations Administrator to move preferred candidates into the pre employment check workflow and to initiate police checks and right to work checks for retail staff, Head Office staff, conference members, Presidents, employees and volunteers.
The implementation centered on InterCheck capabilities for police checks and ACIC checks, and integration into the organisation's onboarding and verification workflow. Functional use included initiating reference checks, coordinating online assessments, triggering medical questionnaire workflows, and recording compliance attributes such as police checks, working with children check status and vaccination details in personnel records.
InterCheck was operated alongside a set of explicit integrations, with reference checks initiated through Xref, online assessment links sent through SACS and Big5, medical questionnaires submitted via the DHS portal, contract execution through DocuSign, personnel file storage on SharePoint, and personnel status updates reflected in Preceda. The People Support and Operations Administrator also extracted and consolidated reports from InterCheck and other databases to support recruitment and member compliance inbox processing.
Governance and operational processes around InterCheck included setting up induction planner entries for Head Office staff, initiating reimbursements for Working with Children Check fees, liaising with payroll on contract variations, and ensuring that all screening documents were saved to employee personnel files for both SVDP and VCV staff. The deployment emphasized compliance verification workflows and centralized screening orchestration across recruitment, onboarding and member compliance functions within Vinnies Victoria.
