In 2014 StarGroup implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize its ERP Financial operations within the communications business. The deployment used Oracle NetSuite ERP as a cloud native SaaS finance platform to consolidate corporate accounting and reporting workflows under a single system of record.
Configuration focused on core financial modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and invoicing, fixed asset management, cash management and financial reporting. Tax and expense management capabilities were configured to align with standard ERP Financial controls and to support period close and statutory reporting processes.
Operational coverage emphasized the finance and accounting organization, with system responsibilities touching procurement ledgers and billing functions to ensure end to end financial transactional flow. The implementation oriented transactional processing, revenue invoicing and receivables collection workflows within Oracle NetSuite ERP to streamline finance operations across the company.
Governance work centered on consolidating the chart of accounts, establishing role based access controls, instituting month end close workflows and approval routing, and maintaining audit trails for financial controls. Process documentation and standardized approval procedures were embedded into the Oracle NetSuite ERP configuration to support ongoing financial governance and compliance.
