| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 StarHub implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The initiative followed a program that began in November 2015 and included an upgrade to ECC6 with EHP6 and a focused IFRS 15 implementation effort completed in April 2016.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment concentrated on core financial modules common to ERP Financial systems, including general ledger configuration, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue accounting functionality to support new IFRS 15 revenue recognition requirements. Configuration work emphasized ledger structures and revenue recognition rules within SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to align accounting flows with statutory reporting needs.
Operational coverage targeted StarHub’s finance and accounting functions across its Singapore operations, embedding revenue recognition and month end close workflows into the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment. The implementation aligned transactional posting, revenue accounting, and statutory reporting processes to a unified ERP Financial architecture.
Governance was managed internally by a StarHub program manager who led the upgrade and IFRS 15 compliance workstreams, with the program running from November 2015 through April 2016. Rollout activities focused on process standardization within finance, change coordination, and embedding IFRS 15 controls into day to day accounting practices.

| SAP | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019, StarHub implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR system. The HRIS Manager in Singapore led the program and was overall in charge of SuccessFactors HCM products implementation and rollout, with the initiative explicitly targeting replacement of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and Taleo recruitment as part of a consolidated HCM strategy.
Deployment centered on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the central cloud based HR record, configured to standardize the core HR data model, organizational management, and HR workflows across the HR organization. Implementation activities included configuration of core HR modules and a detailed process review for linked functions such as payroll and commission accounting, while scoping automation for processes not amenable to direct integration.
Integrations were planned and executed against downstream payroll, commission, and other HR adjacent systems using interfaces, and robotic process automation was identified to handle non integrated touch points to reduce manual handoffs. Operational coverage focused on day to day HRIS operations across StarHub HR Centers of Excellence in Singapore, with the HRIS team working closely with cross HR COE functions to consolidate requirements and align process design.
Governance and rollout were managed under HRIS leadership, driving process restructuring and system governance to support a move toward full digitization of HR processes. The program aimed to consolidate requirements and implement RPA for non system integration processes, positioning SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the authoritative Core HR platform for StarHub.
