Integrations for SAP S/4 HANA included linking finance and billing processes to Salesforce CRM for customer and sales data flows, and interfaces with StarHub telecom BSS/OSS components to align billing and revenue recognition. The implementation also aligned with broader IT infrastructure and security components such as IAM and cybersecurity controls, reflecting integration points with the company s ICT, cloud and security stack.
Governance for the SAP S/4 HANA rollout was PMO driven, using formal IT governance, risk and compliance practices and executive steering to manage scope, quality and schedule, and to coordinate change across Finance and IT. In 2019 StarHub implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform, initiating a program to replace Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and Taleo for recruitment. The implementation was led by the HRIS Manager who took overall responsibility for SuccessFactors HCM products implementation and roll out, and for day to day HRIS operations across the HR center of excellence.
The project centered on provisioning SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the master HR system of record, consolidating core HR master data, organizational management, and employee profile workflows consistent with Core HR functionality. Workstreams included configuration of employee data models and processes to absorb recruitment intake previously managed in Taleo, and requirement consolidation for downstream payroll and commission processing.
Integrations and operational scope focused on creating downstream interfaces and process handoffs to payroll and commission systems, while applying robotic process automation for processes that were not suitable for direct system integration. The program emphasized cross HR COE collaboration, with the HRIS Manager coordinating process reviews across payroll, commission, and other downstream systems to standardize inputs to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Governance and rollout were organized under a central HRIS lead, aligning requirements consolidation, process review, and digitization efforts to move HR system processes toward full digitization. The initiative combined cloud based SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central deployment with RPA driven automation for non integrated tasks, and established ongoing HRIS operational ownership within StarHub Singapore.
