In 2012, Starwood Capital Group implemented Jobvite as its Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System. Jobvite was deployed to power applicant tracking and live job posting on the company careers website, establishing a centralized public-facing recruitment channel for the firm.
The implementation of Jobvite included core applicant tracking capabilities, career site job posting and requisition management, candidate workflow orchestration, resume parsing and candidate profile management, and recruiting analytics typical of an ATS deployment. Jobvite provided configurable candidate stages and interview scheduling workflows to standardize how hiring managers and HR progressed applicants through the pipeline.
Operationally the Jobvite deployment was integrated into Starwood Capital Group’s careers web presence to capture inbound applications and route candidate records to internal recruiting and HR teams. The setup supported hiring manager access, candidate communications and pipeline visibility for talent acquisition, with data flows between the career site and the Jobvite application for application intake and status updates.
Governance focused on centralizing job posting and requisition approval workflows under the talent acquisition function, and on standardizing candidate lifecycle processes to improve recruiting consistency. Configuration emphasized role-based access for HR and hiring managers and audit trails for applicant status changes, aligning recruiting operations with enterprise hiring processes.

| Yardi | Legacy | Yardi Voyager | Real Estate Property Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2000 | 2000 |
In 2000, Starwood Capital Group implemented Yardi Voyager as its Real Estate Property Management application to centralize fund accounting and REIT financial reporting. The deployment addressed accounting and reporting for five individual REITs and multiple outside partnerships, with daily fund related accounting functions and preparation of financial statements for individual REITs and partnerships.
The Yardi Voyager rollout included core financial modules aligned to general ledger, accounts payable, cash management, loan and cash flow monitoring, management fee calculation, and consolidation workflows, reflected in the organization calculating quarterly management fees and monitoring weekly loan and cash flow activity. Implementation work included transitioning all financial data from Skyline software to Yardi Voyager, configuring Yardi financial functionality, and delivering staff training on Yardi Voyager use and functionality.
Operational integrations and data flows were established to support coordination with asset managers for cash funding requests, to ingest and reconcile financial statements from joint venture partners into consolidated reporting, and to liaise with external tax accountants to reconcile financial statements to tax returns and perform periodic REIT testing. Reporting and analytics were supported by designed and maintained SQL reports for Yardi Voyager and ongoing ad hoc support for fund managers, including recording and monthly invoicing of airplane costs.
Governance changes focused on procedural controls for cash funding coordination, consolidated reporting intake from joint ventures, and reconciliation workflows with tax advisors, accompanied by user training and report maintenance processes. The implementation positioned Yardi Voyager as the system of record for Starwood Capital Group finance, impacting accounting, tax reconciliation, fund administration, and asset management reporting.

| DocuSign | Legacy | DocuSign Agreement Cloud | Document Management | Content Management | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Starwood Capital Group deployed DocuSign Agreement Cloud as its core Document Management solution to standardize signatures and agreement handling. The DocuSign Agreement Cloud supported HR, legal, finance, and office administration workflows with primary operational use documented in the New York office.
The implementation emphasized core eSignature and template management capabilities, including reusable document templates for letters of appointment and LOAs, envelope routing and signing order configuration for executive approvals, and immutable audit trail and storage for signed agreements. Templates and automated routing were configured to streamline offer letter and onboarding document issuance, and to centralize preparation of deal paperwork for senior signature capture.
Operational workflows show that DocuSign Agreement Cloud was embedded into hiring and onboarding processes coordinated with Insperity for new hire paperwork, and signatures were tracked against calendar events and notifications via Outlook. Office administration used DocuSign to send contracts and approval documents to senior signatories, after which physical notarization and archival scanning were performed as needed, and documents were dispatched by FedEx, UPS or USPS when required.
Governance centered on requiring completed DocuSign packets prior to new hire start dates, standardizing LOA preparation and signature routing, and assigning template and envelope administration to office administrative and legal support staff. Recordkeeping practices paired DocuSign storage with scanned archives and an invoice and document log maintained by office operations to ensure consistent retention and access.
