The Marketplace Tech team used N8N AI Workflow Automation to automate data ingestion and transformation for job inventory and to accelerate publishing of job adverts. Deployment architecture combined containerized n8n nodes on AWS with a centralized PostgreSQL database to persist workflow state and credentials.
Configuration emphasized data integration and transformation capabilities, with workflows orchestrating extraction, schema normalization, enrichment, and routing of job feed data. The implementation supported more than 200 mission critical workflows, reflecting intensive use of automation, error handling, retry logic, and scheduled triggers typical of AI Workflow Automation environments. Module usage concentrated on connectors, transformation nodes, and orchestration flows to standardize job inventory upstream of downstream publishing.
The self hosted n8n instance integrated with roughly 50 internal data sources across Stepstone's environment, reducing integration cycle time from two weeks to two hours and accelerating time to market for job adverts. Operational ownership remained with the Marketplace Tech team, which centralized workflow orchestration, monitoring, and connector maintenance, and ran production workflows in Germany. Governance included standardized connector patterns and workflow lifecycle controls to manage mission critical automation at scale.
