In 2019, Stier Supply implemented MiTek SAPPHIRE Supply, using the Construction Estimating application to digitize plan takeoffs and standardize formula driven estimations across its South Carolina operations. The deployment targeted estimating and supply quoting workflows to support field sales and estimating teams. Implementation work focused on digitized plan takeoff workflows and configurable, formula driven estimation templates inside MiTek SAPPHIRE Supply, enabling consistent quantity calculations and material lists. Configuration included building custom formulas and estimation templates to reflect Stier Supply pricing and waste assumptions, and the system was adopted by estimating, sales, and supply planning personnel. MiTek SAPPHIRE Supply shortened estimating turnaround from four to five days to about two days, increased quantity accuracy, and reduced material waste, enabling the sales team to deliver bids faster and take on more plans. Stier Supply applied the Construction Estimating application to operationalize standardized, formula driven estimating across its distribution business.
