| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | Elire | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Stifel Financial engaged Elire after a referral from Oracle to perform a Cloud optimization assessment of their Oracle Cloud ERP in an ERP Financial context, with an immediate focus on Cash Management. The assessment used Elire's Optimization Assessment methodology to document 79 disconnects across cash reporting, cash forecasting, intraday liquidity, payments, and GL reconciliations, and recommended an Oracle Cloud Cash Management implementation estimated to resolve about 84 percent of identified disconnects.
Elire implemented Oracle Cloud ERP Cash Management functionality and configured modules for bank statement reporting, account reconciliation, daily cash positioning, cash forecasting, cash accounting and controls, bank transfers, wire and ACH processing, and AP electronic payments with automated bank reconciliation. The engagement included creation of work instructions and business process documentation to operationalize automated payments and supplier payment setup, aligning treasury, accounts payable, and reconciliation workflows with the application.
Integration and operational scope included onboarding Stifel’s three main agent banks and consolidating correspondent banking to provide a single connectivity point for bank statement ingestion and payment flows, and configuring supplier bank instructions to enable remittance directly from the application. The program extended to international operational needs with targeted projects for Stifel UK automated payments, onboarding a Canadian entity with provincial and federal tax configuration, and German entity tax and payments support, alongside a managed service engagement that began in 2018 and continued through subsequent optimization efforts.
Governance changes emphasized managed service delivery by Elire, process standardization, and tighter controls through bank connectivity to remove manual checks of individual bank portals and reduce audit friction. Stifel and Elire cited improved reporting and forecasting, strengthened audit and control points, increased operational efficiency, and improved bank management as the principal benefits of the Oracle Cloud ERP deployment in the ERP Financial category.

In 2016, Stifel Financial implemented UKG Pro Benefits Administration (ex UltiPro Benefits Prime) to centralize benefits management within the HR organization. The deployment targeted the Benefits Administration functional domain, aligning HRIS ownership with benefits enrollment, plan configuration, employee self-service, and compliance reporting.
The implementation included configuration of benefits plan structures and enrollment workflows within UKG Pro Benefits Administration, ongoing system enhancements and upgrades, and the creation of role-based security profiles to maintain system integrity. Stifel’s HRIS team served as subject matter experts, driving process design and administering configuration changes to ensure the application supported sustainable, scalable HR benefits operations.
Operational integrations were handled through third party vendor Plan Source for benefits plan administration, and the HRIS team managed upstream and downstream connections and third party integrations across the HR technology landscape. The team produced and submitted the Compliance Data Components 1 and 2 for EEOC reporting from the UKG Pro Benefits Administration implementation and coordinated system support for voluntary self-identification and COVID vaccine campaigns.
Governance and rollout were led by HRIS leadership with ongoing liaison between HRIS and vendors to resolve issues, elicit requirements, and communicate functionality to business partners. UKG was noted by Stifel as part of an internal recognition program for outstanding customer service, and operational ownership remained with the HRIS function to sustain benefits administration and compliance workflows.
