Configuration focused on financial modules typical of ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, and financial reporting and consolidation capabilities. Operational scope covered finance, accounting, treasury, and billing related business functions, with a rollout emphasis on centralizing month-end close procedures and standardizing accounting controls. Governance and workflow changes introduced centralized financial process ownership, configuration-driven approval workflows, and audit trail instrumentation to enforce segregation of duties and financial control policies.

Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Stream Energy implemented Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening application to centralize pre hire screening functions. The implementation was led by a dual role Talent Acquisition Operations Manager and HR Generalist who served as iCIMS Product Owner between August 2016 and November 2018, tying screening into recruiting and onboarding workflows. Sterling Background Check was configured to support core screening capabilities including criminal background checks, drug screening orchestration, and I9 verification, and it was referenced in internal process documentation as Sterling/TalentWise for I9, drug screening, and background checks. The iCIMS Product Owner customized external and internal portals and dashboards, and mapped onboarding touch points so that Sterling Background Check interfaced directly with candidate records and offer to onboard flows. The deployment included integrations with iCIMS for applicant tracking and portal customization, and with Exponent HR for EDI file exchanges to move hire data into HRIS and payroll downstream systems. Operational scope covered Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Relations, and HR Generalist processes, supporting up to 30 active requisitions and an onboarding cadence averaging seven new hires per month. Governance changes included creation and documentation of a new drug testing, background screening, and I9 process, weekly vendor management calls to track requisition and candidate status, and formalized recruiting and onboarding procedures. The program emphasized vendor fee negotiation to reduce agency costs and introduced structured new hire orientation and onboarding artifacts to standardize compliance and candidate experience.
