In 2023, SWS Group implemented CardXPay to accept online client payments in the United States as a Payment Processing solution for its finance function. The deployment focuses on accounts receivable workflows, enabling collection of client payments through CardXPay and Stax while capturing payment events in a hosted payment interface.
CardXPay is delivered via CardX's virtual terminal and Lightbox to process credit and debit transactions and to apply a service charge on credit card payments. The implementation centers on payment capture and service charge application logic, preserving payer experience through an embedded Lightbox flow while ensuring fee application is executed at transaction time.
Operationally the rollout is scoped to the firm level for accounts receivable and client billing activities, with the primary objective to streamline collections and pass card fees to payers to protect the firm's margins. Governance is oriented around payment acceptance policies and service charge handling within CardXPay and the CardX virtual terminal and Lightbox environment, supporting standard Payment Processing controls for a professional services practice.
