In 2019 T. Rowe Price implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as an ERP Financial solution. The deployment replaced Oracle E-Business Suite and targeted a consolidated finance platform to standardize core accounting, treasury, and transaction processing across the firm.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation concentrated on Financials modules, explicitly including Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger. Configuration work emphasized financial controls, subledger processing, fixed asset depreciation handling, reporting via Oracle Reports and XML BI Publisher, and RDBMS development using SQL and PL SQL to support custom extracts and integrations.
Architecture and integrations were oriented to cloud native operations and hybrid hosting models, with documented use of containerized application patterns and deployment to public or private clouds. The program incorporated Oracle Cloud EPM and Oracle Integration Cloud as part of the application ecosystem, and engineering expectations included microservices patterns, distributed and non relational database approaches to support scalable finance services.
Operational rollout and governance were managed through Agile delivery and test driven development practices, with cross functional finance and engineering teams responsible for iterative releases and change control. The implementation aligned application configuration, reporting workflows, and technical pipeline ownership to centralized finance operations and IT engineering teams to support ongoing maintenance and feature delivery.

In 2015, T. Rowe Price implemented FIS Relius to manage retirement plan administration and compliance within the Benefits Administration,Pension Administration application footprint. The deployment was scoped to support Retirement Plan Service, Compliance, Operations and IT teams, with operational presence at the Owings Mills, Maryland site and alignment to the firmwide retirement services organization.
Configuration emphasis centered on compliance testing and administration capabilities typical of pension administration platforms, including nondiscrimination testing workflows, plan data import processes, and structured reporting. Staff maintained and updated the Relius Administration System and implemented new releases, while building custom reports using SQL and Crystal Reports Designer and creating Visual Basic tools to automate compliance testing and adjudication tasks.
Operational coverage included plan-level activities such as plan terminations, GIC maturities and plan-wide exchanges, with Operations and IT collaborating on automation, system enhancements and medium to high complexity projects. The system supported the Service Team in interpreting legislative changes and delivering consultative plan design guidance tied to compliance testing outcomes.
Governance and process workstreams included redesigning the nondiscrimination testing process using BPI methodology, instituting formal testing and implementation cycles for Relius releases, and embedding technical subject matter expertise into operational decision making. FIS Relius served as the maintained administration platform to centralize compliance testing, reporting and plan administration functions within T. Rowe Price's retirement services environment.

In 2015, T. Rowe Price implemented MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as its primary Analytics and BI platform, with the infrastructure organization leading the deployment and ongoing administration. The program established distinct Dev, Qual and Prod environments as part of the MicroStrategy ONE Analytics rollout, and MicroStrategy professional services participated in environment setup to align with T. Rowe Price operational requirements.
MicroStrategy ONE Analytics configuration work included creation of new projects, user and project team provisioning, and the definition of custom security roles tailored to T. Rowe Price access policies. The team used the MicroStrategy Web SDK to add a custom corporate font to the web interface, and generated MicroStrategy Web Task URL instances to be consumed via iframe in internal applications.
Integrations and operational coverage focused on LDAP for external user authentication, with Qual and Prod configured to support external access under the firm’s directory services. The engagement also involved MicroStrategy mobile app development teams to remediate security flaws in the iOS 9.4.1 client, receiving and validating a vendor-supplied custom build to ensure the MicroStrategy mobile client operated within T. Rowe Price security controls.
Governance centered on defining best practices and platform guidelines, finalizing test cases, and establishing custom security roles to reflect T. Rowe Price compliance requirements. The infrastructure team led sanity and extensive functional testing across environments, and trained both infrastructure and project teams on MicroStrategy ONE Analytics administration and operational procedures to support ongoing governance.
Explicit operational outcomes recorded during the engagement included identification and resolution of multiple setup and configuration issues to meet T. Rowe Price security compliance, validation of mobile client security through vendor builds, and institutionalization of access provisioning and platform usage guidelines for MicroStrategy ONE Analytics.
