The deployment targeted core ERP Financial functions to centralize accounting, financial reporting, and transaction processing for the 100 employee United States manufacturing company, with Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise serving as the primary financial management platform. Configuration concentrated on general ledger management, accounts payable automation, accounts receivable invoicing, multi user financial reporting, and inventory valuation capabilities aligned to the ERP Financial category. Deltek Legacy Deltek GCS Premier Government ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2008 2008
In 2008 Tactical Electronics implemented Deltek GCS Premier as its Government ERP to centralize finance and HR operations. The deployment at the 100 employee United States manufacturer supported an Accountant and HR Director who managed financial operations from June 2008 to April 2012. Implementation covered core business functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, payroll administration, bank reconciliation, and personnel recordkeeping. Deltek GCS Premier was configured to support daily bank transfers, journal entries, prepaid and accrued expense accounting, maintenance and analysis of the general ledger, and processing of A/R and A/P workflows. The system also accommodated expense management for corporate credit cards and 15 employee cell phone accounts, and was used to maintain payroll related records alongside actual payroll processing. Operational use emphasized transaction processing workflows and month end close activities typical of a Government ERP in a midmarket manufacturing context. Payroll was transitioned to ADP online, with the Accountant and HR Director maintaining the ADP database and executing payroll in both ADP and Deltek GCS Premier, creating a dual system payroll reconciliation process. HR governance and process responsibilities implemented in support of the application included employee selection, orientation, interviewing, discipline, staff training and development, benefits and insurance selection, maintenance of personnel files, employee relations, and creation and updating of policies and procedures. The configuration and operationalization concentrated on unifying financial and HR recordkeeping within Deltek GCS Premier while integrating with ADP for outsourced payroll execution.
