| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Tapestry implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of a Financial Management System FMS Project with a primary focus on integrating e-commerce and order management flows. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was positioned as the core ERP Financial backbone to consolidate transactional posting, ledger activity, and financial accounting for the enterprise.
Configuration work centered on core financial modules including FI General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Controlling, with explicit configuration for order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows and master data consolidation. The implementation of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 emphasized invoicing, revenue accounting and settlement processes aligned to retail commerce operational patterns, reflecting the ERP Financial role in end-to-end financial lifecycle management.
The FMS Project included ECOM-OMS integration to SAP ECC and SAP S/4, implementing real-time order and payment posting flows between e-commerce platforms, the order management system, and the ERP Financial instance. Integrations were executed through an enterprise integration layer to exchange sales orders, fulfillment status, pricing, tax and payment settlement data, and to support a transition path toward SAP S/4.
Operational scope spanned finance, e-commerce operations, and order management teams, centralizing financial master data governance and standardizing order-to-cash and financial close workflows. Rollout governance followed the FMS Project controls with staged cutovers and cross-functional change management to coordinate ERP Financial configuration with e-commerce and OMS teams.

| SAP | SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) | SAP S/4HANA for Fashion and Vertical Business | Retail Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Tapestry implemented SAP S/4HANA for Fashion and Vertical Business as the core enterprise platform, migrating from SAP Apparel and Footwear also known as SAP AFS. The program is positioned within Retail Management and was launched as a global, multi-brand effort across Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman.
The implementation deployed SAP S/4 Fashion v1709 together with Business Planning and Consolidation BPC, Customer Activity Repository CAR, and Merchandise Information Management MIM, with Fiori as the user experience layer. The technology footprint also included Ariba for procurement, Concur for travel and expense, GRC for governance and compliance, PI PO for middleware, SuccessFactors HRIS for workforce management, and Aptos POS for in-store point of sale functionality, covering finance, planning, merchandising, procurement, HR, customer activity, and retail checkout workflows.
Architecturally the program centralized transactional and master data in the SAP S/4HANA core, using PI PO to orchestrate integrations and CAR to consolidate customer activity streams from retail touchpoints into the SAP environment. Fiori provided role-based UI surfaces for business users while BPC supported planning and consolidation processes, enabling standardized financial processes across brands.
Operational scope included merchandising, supply chain, finance and planning, HR, and retail operations across multiple channels and geographies, supporting approximately 20,000 employees worldwide. The deployment applied a centralized core with brand-specific configuration layers to balance corporate standardization and individual brand requirements.
Governance and rollout were executed as a $230+ million process and system transformation program, led by a VP of Process and System Transformation with program controls layered through GRC and financial consolidation via BPC. The program timeline spanned mid 2017 into late 2018 and emphasized cross-functional process reengineering alongside the technical cutover to SAP S/4HANA for Fashion and Vertical Business.
