| FIS Global | Legacy | FIS Integrated Payables | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019, TAQA Group deployed FIS Integrated Payables as its AP Automation platform. The implementation was positioned to centralize accounts payable processing and to extend cash visibility into entities participating in the group cash pool, supporting Treasury oversight across the organization.
FIS Integrated Payables was configured to deliver core AP Automation capabilities, including electronic invoice capture and validation, configurable approval workflows, exception routing and resolution, supplier master data management, and payment orchestration with remittance management. The configuration emphasized workflow controls and auditability consistent with enterprise accounts payable governance and supplier payment sequencing.
Operational integration focused on linking payable workflows to treasury cash management procedures, specifically in-house bank account management and inter-company transaction flows used for daily cash requirement identification, short and medium-term cash flow forecasting, and management of revolving facilities. The platform was used by Accounts Payable and Treasury teams to align payment timing with treasury borrowing and investment decisions and to surface FX exposure considerations in payment scheduling.
Governance and rollout were organized around centralized control by Treasury and Finance, with process changes to support oversight of liquidity, utilization monitoring and adherence to risk management principles of safety, liquidity and yield. During the same period TAQA also managed finance system upgrades, including a Treasury Management System upgrade to FIS Quantum Version 6, which complemented the AP Automation deployment by strengthening treasury systems integration and operational controls.

Governance activities included role based access controls, configuration change processes, user acceptance testing cycles and training handoffs to maintenance planners and operations supervisors, enabling IBM Maximo to serve as the operational backbone for enterprise maintenance planning and asset reliability workflows within TAQA Group.

Interfaces to project systems included an architecture lead managing integration touchpoints for the Bergermeer Project.
Governance emphasized a centralized reporting taxonomy and scheduled refresh workflows to support treasury and finance operations, with an architecture team owning data model and interface contracts. Deployment and operational scope concentrated on finance, treasury and asset management functions, with configuration and role based access controls aligned to those business functions.
