IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Targa Resources deployed IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management solution at the Targa Midstream Services site in Chico, Texas. A contract Accounts Receivable Clerk and Maximo administrator was assigned from April 2017 onward to operate and govern the application within site maintenance operations. IBM Maximo was configured to support preventive maintenance scheduling and creation of PMs for recurring tasks, corrective maintenance workflows labeled as CM, and tracking of CAP ITEMS and GS categorized work. The administrator role performed scheduling and planning of work requests, created and edited job plans and locations in IBM Maximo, and ensured work orders adhered to the dates and sequencing entered into the system. The implementation included forecast and reporting workflows executed from IBM Maximo with exports and tracking run in Excel for operational visibility. The environment also connected operational execution with financial vendor activity, with personnel using Oracle to enter, receive, and pay vendors while referencing Maximo job plans and work orders for validation. Operational governance centered on the Maximo administrator who ran forecasts, attended coordination meetings, oriented and consulted with contractors and Targa employees, and managed phone and filing support for the site. Workflows were standardized by defining task type, supervisor assignment, and location at the point of PM and work order creation, embedding IBM Maximo into maintenance planning, work order management, and cross functional coordination between maintenance, operations, and accounts payable.
