In 2014, Tektronix implemented Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) to manage Field Service Management functions within its service organization. The deployment was scoped to support Service Contracts, Depot Repair, Field Service and Parts Planning to centralize and standardize service operations and parts workflows.
The project team designed and implemented configurations across Service Contracts, Depot Repair, Field Service and Parts Planning, defining dispatch and depot intake workflows, parts reservation and returns processes, and business rules for contract entitlement. Deliverables included detailed process documentation, functional configuration, and comprehensive test scripts used during quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
Integration work focused on a data conversion methodology to bring Installed Base instances and contract records into the Oracle R12 application, and on validating converted records through scripted QA and testing cycles. The team produced production-ready training materials and executed quality assurance tests prior to user testing to confirm operational readiness for service and parts teams.
Governance and process transformation were driven by facilitated workshops and gap assessments that defined future-state processes and control points, and those artifacts guided configuration priorities and testing plans. The engagement resulted in end-to-end documentation, test artifacts, and training deliverables to support rollout across Tektronix service and depot repair functions.
