In 1998, Telekom implemented Marand MEP to reengineer fulfillment and billing processes in its BSS and finance area across Slovenia. Marand MEP, classified as AP Automation, was deployed to centralize provisioning orchestration and invoice generation across Telekom Slovenije operations.
The implementation leveraged Marand product-catalog and multiservice billing MEB capabilities to configure catalog-driven product models, rating, and billing orchestration. Order-to-cash and service activation workflows were instrumented through these billing modules to automate service lifecycle steps and reduce manual handoffs.
Marand MEP was integrated with core BSS and finance flows to align billing outputs with financial posting and accounts payable reconciliations, supporting teams responsible for provisioning, billing, and finance. The deployment covered Telekom Slovenije organization-wide in Slovenia, concentrating on BSS, finance, and fulfillment operational areas.
Governance emphasized process reengineering across fulfillment and invoicing functions, with controlled rollout across operational units. Reported outcomes included faster provisioning and more accurate invoicing, with installation times improving by approximately 20 percent.
