In 2015, Telia Company implemented SAP S/4 HANA Finance. The SAP S/4 HANA Finance deployment served as the core ERP Financial platform for Telia's telco functional domain, providing the transactional finance backbone for billing and revenue processes.

Architecturally the SAP S/4 HANA Finance instance was integrated into a Hybris Billing landscape, where SAP CRM and SAP CC connect with S/4 Hana to form the SAP Hybris Billing solution. These integrations supported order to cash and billing to revenue flows, enabling invoice generation and accounting handoff from the billing stack into SAP S/4 HANA Finance.
Operational scope covered Telia's end to end telco functional domain, with a dedicated team of over 10 people managing finance configuration, ongoing operations and cross application orchestration. Network Operations Center alerts are integrated into the Now Platform where issues are assessed for priority and customer impact, and workflows notify affected customers and relevant care agents and operations teams. The deployment spans Telia Company’s consumer and enterprise customer operations across its markets, focusing on tighter communications between customers, care agents, and operations personnel.
Governance and process changes aligned around proactive monitoring, automated incident routing, and notification rules to identify and notify customers impacted by network initiated incidents.
