| FIS Global | Legacy | FIS GETPAID | AR Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2006 | 2006 |
In 2006, Tellabs implemented FIS GETPAID from FIS Global as its AR Automation platform. The deployment included administration of bolt-on applications, notably Cognos Business Intelligence, SunGard GetPaid Financial Analytics and Upside Contract Billing Lifecycle to extend reporting and contract billing capabilities.
FIS GETPAID was configured to centralize accounts receivable processing and automate invoice lifecycles, while supporting contract billing lifecycle functions administered through the Upside Contract Billing Lifecycle module. Financial analytics capabilities were extended using SunGard GetPaid Financial Analytics, with Cognos Business Intelligence used for operational and management reporting. Configuration work focused on transaction orchestration, reconciliation logic and collections workflow automation consistent with AR Automation practices.
Integrations were centered on feed and reporting linkages between FIS GETPAID, Cognos Business Intelligence and the SunGard GetPaid Financial Analytics layer to provide consolidated receivables reporting. Operational coverage targeted Tellabs finance and billing groups, with system administration responsible for billing lifecycle, revenue accounting inputs and collections activity across the company. The implementation emphasized centralized application administration and bolt-on application management rather than multiple disparate billing tools.
Governance included centralized administration of the FIS GETPAID environment and the bolt-on suite, change control for billing rules and reporting, and role-based controls for finance and billing users. Operational processes were reorganized to align contract billing, analytics and collections workflows under a single AR Automation platform.

In 2012 Tellabs implemented MicroStrategy ONE Analytics to centralize Analytics and BI dashboarding and mobile scorecards for multiple business clients. The engagement began with business user requirement workshops to define dashboards and analytic needs and moved from prototype dashboards to user acceptance testing.
The implementation used MicroStrategy 9.2.1 with an upgrade path to 9.3 and leveraged MicroStrategy Desktop to build schema objects such as hierarchies, transformations, attributes and facts. Core MicroStrategy components in use included Architect, Object Manager, Web, Administrator and Enterprise Manager to manage object lifecycle and administration, and Narrowcast for distribution. Development work encompassed Flash dashboards using custom widgets, panels, selectors and flash visualizations, plus MicroStrategy Mobile based scorecards for iPhone and iPad, and role based client installations.
Data integration and operational coverage were driven by identification of source tables in the data warehouse and development against MS SQL Server with Windows XP client environments. Prototype dashboards were presented to user groups for acceptance and the solution design documented the facts and attributes that populate each dashboard. Distribution and scheduling workflows were implemented through Narrowcast and Enterprise Manager.
Governance emphasized technical specification creation, formalizing facts and attributes, and defining selector and panel stack behavior including formatting, ordering and title bar styling to ensure consistent user experience. Implementation activities included installing MicroStrategy products on client machines based on roles and privileges, performing the version upgrade from 9.2.1 to 9.3, and detailed UI configuration such as selector fonts colors gradients borders and panel formatting.
Operational handoff included end user training, production support and documentation to stabilize reports in the production environment. MicroStrategy ONE Analytics served as the central Analytics and BI platform supporting dashboard development configuration management and operational support across the Tellabs deployment.
