In 2018 Tenable implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to manage accounts payable and intercompany accounting across a multinational subsidiary footprint. The deployment centralized invoice intake, approval workflows and payment orchestration for the finance organization, with configuration geared toward Accounts Payable lifecycle monitoring and vendor relations management.
Core configuration centered on Accounts Payable lifecycle capabilities, including invoice data entry for incoming international invoices, purchase order and contract review, and the generation of payment run reports. The Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation was used to enter invoices for all 28 subsidiaries, capture department approvals, create Journal Entries for intercompany transactions, and process international Payroll, Expense and Tax payments on a bi-monthly cadence.
Operational processes included coordination with Legal to validate contracts tied to invoices, weekly pay run reporting and the transmission of payments through Bank of America portals. The implementation extended across Finance, AP, Payroll and Tax functions, creating cross-functional workflows for invoice exception handling, vendor inquiry response and records management.
Governance was formalized through documented Standard Operating Procedures, with four SOPs created and maintained to codify invoice processing, document preparation, records management and payment transmission steps. These SOPs support monitoring of the Accounts Payable lifecycle and ongoing vendor relations activities within Tenable's Oracle NetSuite ERP environment.

| Drift | Legacy | Drift AI Chatbot | Chatbots and Conversational AI | AI-Powered Application | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Tenable deployed the Drift AI Chatbot to accelerate SDR engagement and website lead capture, using Chatbots and Conversational AI to reach hard-to-contact Chief Information Security Officers and enterprise buyers. The deployment combined live Drift Chat with automated Drift AI playbooks to reduce lead latency and surface higher quality marketing qualified leads for Sales Development Reps.
The implementation centered on Drift AI Chatbot playbooks and open-text conversational workflows, beginning with a crawl, walk, run approach that started with 25 seeded conversation paths and expanded to over 75 active playbooks. Configuration emphasized automated meeting capture, deflection of non-sales queries, and conversational routing so that SDRs and marketing could prioritize enterprise conversations, while Drift AI handled off-hours and high-volume sessions.
Operational scope included a global website rollout with SDR coverage across regions, aligning Sales and Marketing through shared handoff rules and immediate chat-to-SDR escalation when a prospect qualified. The Drift conversation team supported iterative tuning with a dedicated reviewer for AI conversations, enabling continuous refinement of playbooks and response logic to preserve conversation quality and relevance.
Governance changes focused on sales-marketing alignment and adoption by Tenable’s most senior SDRs, with a formalized review process for playbook evolution and SDR training on chat handoffs. The program institutionalized conversational governance, including standards for qualifying signals, escalation timing, and routing to live SDRs versus automated handling.
The outcome profile is explicit and system-level, Tenable reports 3X faster delivery of SDR qualified leads in the past year, a 30% improvement in conversation quality and length in the past year, doubled conversion rates in the past year, a 20% conversion rate on AI-generated leads, a median SDR response time reduced to below 60 seconds, and an operational savings equivalent to approximately one full-time employee.
