In 2016 Tenaris implemented Degreed For Business as part of a deliberate effort to benchmark and modernize its corporate learning approach within the Learning and Development category. The initial phase emphasized benchmarking the companys existing learning strategy, developing a modernized platform blueprint, and executing a phased, seamless implementation plan that enabled measurement and iterative adjustments early in the rollout.
Configuration centered on capabilities aligned with Learning and Development best practices, including skill benchmarking and competency mapping, curated content aggregation and learning pathways, and embedded learning analytics to track engagement and progress. Degreed For Business was configured to support role-based learning journeys and centralize learning resources, while enabling HR and L&D teams to operationalize upskilling and talent development workflows.
Governance and operational ownership were concentrated within HR and L&D functions, with structured measurement built into the first-year program to quantify value. After 11 months of using Degreed For Business Tenaris reported an ROI of 119 percent and a cost benefit ratio of 1:2.7 based on its internal assessment, demonstrating that the benchmarking to measurement sequence produced quantifiable results for the organization.
