In 2020, The Greenbrier engaged Shiji Professional Services to deploy Shiji Astral Payments as its Payment Processing solution, addressing the need to connect the resort's property management system to a new payment vendor. The engagement was driven by a required PMS upgrade to a compliant version so the updated payment interface could connect to the new payment platform.
Implementation work focused on upgrading the property management system to the latest compliant release and installing the appropriate add-ons to enable the Shiji Astral Payments integration. Shiji Professional Services performed an on-site assessment and audit, then configured the add-ons and payment interface components to align with the resort's transaction workflows, while validating the backup database and remediation tasks to ensure database integrity.
Integrations in scope were the property management system to Shiji Astral Payments, along with the payment interface add-ons that mediate transaction capture and settlement between the PMS and the chosen payment vendor. Operational coverage included guest-facing payment flows across the resort and the back-office backup database, with configuration work oriented to keep check-in, check-out and payment processing uninterrupted during the cutover.
Governance and rollout were managed through a technical discovery by an on-site Technical Manager, a compact plan of action from Shiji Professional Services, and around-the-clock support during the upgrade window. The Greenbrier reported successful PMS upgrade and integration with Shiji Astral Payments within the project timeframe and at minimal cost, improved payment efficiency, and a cleaned, properly performing backup database.
