In 2021 MEDGULF implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform, engaging Ebecs and focusing the initial deployment on finance operations at its Riyadh Saudi Arabia site. The engagement was led by an ERP Technical Consultant who served as the technical lead through design, build and stabilization phases.
The team configured and installed Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations on premises, and executed structural data transformation to convert historical and new records into the data model required by the application, then uploaded and posted those records into the ERP. Custom development and configuration were delivered to meet the Finance team requirements and broader user groups, applying core ERP Financial functional workflows such as general ledger processing, accounts payable and accounts receivable posting, and transaction posting automation.
Integrations were a central element of the implementation, the project developed interfaces with internal business systems and government endpoints to receive and send transactional and regulatory data, with approximately 90 percent of operational activity routed through those integrations. Integration engineering emphasized bidirectional data exchange for finance transactions and regulatory reporting, reflecting the system architecture where external interfaces are the primary operational channels.
Governance and application lifecycle practices were established during the rollout, including setup of Team Foundation Server for development version control and release management, and an operational model for day to day support, enhancements and upgrades. Ebecs worked alongside MEDGULF IT and finance stakeholders to manage configuration baselines, code repositories and support handover into steady state operations.
