The implementation encompassed functional modules for project accounting, project budgeting, finance security management, business assets, leases, procurement, accounts payable, and financial budgets, with explicit design work on finance data structure and finance data migration. Workday Financial Management configurations included security model design and recurring payment capabilities, and the program executed standard application lifecycle activities such as requirements gathering, design, testing, data migration, security configuration, training, and deployment. Data and system integrations focused on large scale supplier and billing interfaces, including an agile data transformation approach for whole of government supplier records exceeding 100,000 entries, which reduced development cycle time from 20 days to 3 days and produced stated cost savings exceeding $20,000. The program implemented an automated billing interface between multiple corporations and the Ministries central payment system to automate high volume payments, which was reported to yield more than $10,000 in annual cost savings as more corporate partners onboard. Governance and rollout were driven by finance leadership within the Accountant General’s Department, coordinating deliverables across data migration, functional design, and deployment tracks and serving as finance lead and co lead for multiple solution streams. Change management and training targeted more than 100 finance users, producing documented adoption of over 1,000 recurring payment transactions in year one, and the recurring payment feature was reported to deliver annual manpower savings of more than $40,000. Project leadership also directed multiple improvement initiatives across more than 12 Ministry finance departments to harmonize finance processes and security management.
