Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2023 2024
In 2023, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga advanced its Oracle Cloud ERP implementation under the ERP Financial category, completing the scheduled design and blueprint phases. By the end of 2023 the program finished adopt and adapt stages, conducted a training needs assessment, and executed early testing and validation to prepare transactional flows and configuration baselines. The deployment schedule targets a systemwide go-live for finance and human resource components on July 1, 2024, and positions the first half of 2024 as an intensive engagement window for hundreds of staff across the System. Oracle Cloud ERP workstreams were organized around finance and human resources, with configuration guided by documented design artifacts and blueprint decisions. Functional activities included business process mapping, configuration of core financial and HCM capabilities, iterative testing cycles, and validation of transaction flows and interfaces. Training needs were assessed to align role-based learning with the adopt and adapt stages, and early testing emphasized end-to-end process validation ahead of final cutover. The project includes coordinated engagement with locally governed institutions as they initiate Oracle Cloud projects, maintaining a system-level governance posture while supporting campus-specific timelines. East Tennessee State University is scheduled to go live on January 1, 2024, Tennessee Tech has launched its project, and the University of Memphis and Austin Peay have executed contracts to begin implementations. This multi-campus coordination requires synchronization of cutover windows, shared policy decisions, and cross-institutional communication channels. Governance work ran in parallel with technology activities, with policies revised and created concurrently with DASH workflow development to align operational controls and approval routing. The program is reported as on schedule and within the allocated budget, and at the time of reporting it was three quarters complete en route to the July 1, 2024 go-live for all finance and human resource components. Continued collaborative oversight across the System and with LGI campuses will drive the planned finalization and cutover activities in early 2024.
