SAE Applications for Digitalization Legacy SAE CPQ Configure Price Quote (CPQ) SPM n/a 2024 2024 In 2024, TII Group implemented SAE CPQ to overhaul its sales operating model for heavy and complex transport solutions. The deployment targeted Configure Price Quote (CPQ) capabilities to digitize customer specific requirements, approvals, pricing and parts lists, replacing Excel based processes to improve scalability for sales and CRM functions in Germany. The SAE CPQ implementation scoped functional modules for requirements capture, configurable pricing engines, approval workflows and automated parts list generation. Configuration work emphasized product and option modeling aligned to complex transport assemblies, and workflow automation for multi stage approvals and quote consolidation. Integrations were executed with the customer stated ERP, CRM and PLM systems to synchronize master data, pricing conditions, BOMs and quote records, enabling end to end order continuity across commercial and engineering systems. The rollout covered sales and CRM teams in Germany and linked quote outputs into the broader order to cash and product lifecycle contexts. SAE reported a kickoff in April and May and a running system by year end in under 10 months, reflecting an accelerated implementation cadence. Governance changes included standardized approval gates and centralized quote configuration processes to replace ad hoc spreadsheets, and the program explicitly aimed to eliminate Excel based quote management and scale sales execution.
