In 2010, Tillsonburg Hydro implemented Control iD RHiD for Time and Attendance. The deployment focused on a consolidated workforce time capture and scheduling solution for the utility, reflecting the needs of a 14 employee Canadian distribution utility to centrally manage timekeeping and absence records.
Control iD RHiD was configured to provide core Time and Attendance functionality, including clocking and shift scheduling, exception reporting, leave management and consolidated timesheet reporting. The implementation emphasized supervisor approval workflows and role based access to support operational control and payroll-ready time data.
The deployment used a single site configuration appropriate for a small utility, with local roster management and data export workflows to feed downstream payroll and HR processes using standard batch or file export patterns. Integrations were kept consistent with Time and Attendance system patterns, favoring simple exports and supervisor attestations rather than enterprise scale middleware.
Governance for Control iD RHiD included phased rollout across operational roles, defined approval and reconciliation procedures, and audit oriented reporting to support compliance. The 2010 implementation sat alongside Tillsonburg Hydro technology activity that year, which included selection of NorthStar MeterSense MDM as a hosted operational data store for smart meter data integration with the Ontario MDMR and Elster AMI, and those initiatives informed the utilitys approach to systems integration and data validation.
