In 2018, Tower selected EIS PolicyCore as part of EIS OneSuite to serve as its Insurance Policy Administration platform for quoting and policy administration across its New Zealand operations. The deployment was delivered as a cloud-based platform and included the vendor suite components PolicyCore, BillingCore, ClaimCore and CustomerCore to support end-to-end policy processing.
EIS PolicyCore was configured to manage policy lifecycle functions for personal and commercial motor, home and contents lines, with integrated quoting, underwriting acceptance rules, endorsements and renewals workflows. BillingCore provided invoicing and payment orchestration while ClaimCore supported claims intake and adjudication workflows, and CustomerCore enabled improved customer data management and self-service channels.
The implementation covered quoting, policy administration, billing and claims and was rolled out in under 18 months across Tower’s product stack in New Zealand. The rollout included product configuration to enable new digital personal and commercial motor, home and contents products and the introduction of digital self-service capabilities for customers.
Operationally the program impacted underwriting, product, customer service, billing and claims functions and established a single cloud-hosted Insurance Policy Administration platform for those business functions. Governance emphasized product configuration and workflow standardization to support accelerated launches of digital insurance products and to centralize policy, billing and claims data within the EIS OneSuite environment.

In 2018, Tower deployed Workplace by Facebook as its Collaboration platform to centralize employee communication and engagement. The deployment supports an approximately 800 person insurer headquartered in New Zealand, and Tower surfaced Workplace by Facebook on their public website for employee facing engagement and internal news distribution.
The implementation leverages standard Workplace by Facebook functionality including groups, a company news feed, chat, live video and file sharing to enable corporate communications, HR communications and cross functional team collaboration. This capability set aligns with Collaboration category workflows such as announcement distribution, peer to peer discussion and informal knowledge sharing.
Operational governance was structured so corporate communications and HR own content policy while IT administers platform access and user lifecycle operations, with administrator roles assigned to communication leads. The Tower Workplace by Facebook Collaboration deployment is positioned as the primary internal communications channel across the organization and is visible from the corporate website.
