Toyota Advanced Logistics Legacy Bastian Autostore Warehouse Management SCM Bastian Solutions 2023 2024
In 2023, Toyota Material Handling US implemented Bastian Autostore in its Parts Distribution Center in Columbus, Indiana. Bastian Solutions served as the system integrator and worked with vendor Toyota Advanced Logistics to deploy the AutoStore technology as a Warehouse Management solution to increase parts storage density and accelerate aftermarket parts fulfillment across North America. The Bastian Autostore installation comprised 28 R5 robots and more than 90,000 bins installed in a dense automated storage grid to maximize storage density and reduce facility footprint. Configuration emphasized automated storage and retrieval workflows to improve picking efficiency and speed fulfillment of aftermarket parts orders for the dealer network. Deployment targeted parts distribution and aftermarket parts fulfillment operations, centralizing high-density storage and automated picking within the Columbus distribution site. Governance and rollout were executed through Bastian Solutions-led implementation activities, aligning the Warehouse Management application to parts supply chain and dealer delivery processes to support faster parts delivery across Toyota Material Handling US's network.
