The implementation layered Phocas reporting onto the K8 data warehouse to deliver instant snapshots, slice-and-dice exploration, and graphical dashboards for commercial, inventory, and procurement users. Tractamotors used these capabilities together with K8 forecasting and stock control to inform long-lead inventory planning, enabling planners to project stock needs months in advance based on seasonality and past sales. Phocas Analytics was integrated with K8 and the companys transactional touchpoints, including the K8 WebBuilder and WebPro trade portal, and mobile applications eReceipts and ePOD. Orders placed via the B2B trade portal automatically populate K8 for onward processing, while eReceipts streamlines goods receipt workflows and ePOD captures delivery signatures and stores proofs of delivery electronically, tying operational events back into the BI layer. Governance and operational workflows were reorganized to centralize report sharing across departments, with commercial, warehouse, and customer service teams relying on Phocas dashboards for consistent metrics. The integrated stack reduced administrative processing by automating order capture and delivery documentation, supported inventory decisions to avoid overstocking despite long supplier lead times, and made performance insight broadly accessible to improve customer service and margin management.
