In 2024 Trendsetter Engineering implemented IFS Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform, migrating transactional and project data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Astra Canyon Group serving as the systems integrator. The deployment focused on Trendsetter Engineering project-based operations in Houston and aligned the IFS Cloud ERP application to support project accounting, cost control and procurement workflows for the oil, gas and chemicals vertical.
The IFS Cloud ERP implementation configured core modules including project accounting, project cost control and budgeting, procurement and material demand planning, scheduling and earned value management, and financial and project reporting. Configuration emphasized work and cost breakdown structures, milestone trackers and certificate generation for invoicing, reflecting the company need to initiate and build projects in the ERP system and drive manufacturing and procurement demand from project schedules.
Operational integration included a formal data migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV into IFS Cloud ERP and interoperability with Microsoft Project and Excel for schedule exchange and report authoring, supporting the Project Controls Specialist role.
