| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Trident Seafoods implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its core ERP Financial application. The deployment of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne runs on a mixed IBM i and Windows server architecture, and had been coordinating EDI transmissions and batch processing across those platforms using the embedded EnterpriseOne scheduler, Windows Task Scheduler, and the native IBM i scheduler prior to a targeted job scheduling consolidation.
Trident implemented Robot Schedule to centralize cross-platform job orchestration and dependency processing around Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. Key functional capabilities configured include file-arrival driven dependencies, automated exception notification, forecasting of job runs, and centralized job definitions that replaced multiple interval-specific instances previously required by the embedded scheduler. The team removed the embedded JDE scheduler and the native IBM i scheduler for EnterpriseOne related jobs, and now runs Windows jobs through the Robot Schedule Enterprise Windows agent.
Operationally the scheduling solution spans the primary ERP server on IBM i and Windows application servers, covering EDI transmission workflows and batch job processing that support finance and supply chain operations tied to EnterpriseOne. The Robot Schedule deployment simplified administration by consolidating three schedulers into a single control plane, enabling more robust IBM i-centric job submissions while managing cross-platform dependencies.
Governance and runbook changes focused on centralized schedule administration, proactive exception handling, and use of forecasting to preemptively reschedule or omit runs affected by outages. Explicit operational outcomes reported include elimination of the excess morning troubleshooting process that consumed 30 minutes each day, reduced effort managing multiple scheduling tools, and more stable, detailed job definitions suited to IBM i users.

| Sterling Talent Solutions | Legacy | Sterling Background Check | BackGround Screening | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Trident Seafoods implemented Sterling Background Check to support its BackGround Screening processes within HR operations. The Sterling Background Check deployment was applied across recruiting and compliance activities managed by the HR Operations Manager who serves as the Designated Employee Representative for United States Coast Guard and Department of Transportation drug testing requirements.
Sterling Background Check was configured and used to set up, read, and process pre-employment background checks and identity verification for internal and external candidates. The implementation supported candidate workflows for both requisition and non-requisition hires, and was operationally adapted for large seasonal hiring campaigns, including seasonal cohorts and H2B visa workers.
Operationally the Sterling Background Check capability was used alongside Ceridian/Dayforce payroll HRIS, Cadient-Hiring Console for hiring lifecycle actions, and LawLogix for I9 processing, forming an HR operational toolchain that handled applicant identity documentation and screening steps. The program covered recruiting touchpoints from corporate executives to vessel captains and plant managers across Trident Alaska sites, and supported peak hiring volumes reported at up to 3,000 hires for salmon and pollock season and 1,500 hires for winter crab and cob season.
Governance and workflow responsibility centered on the HR Operations Manager acting as the DER, a certified DOT collector, maintaining DOT and USCG compliance and applicant privacy controls. The implementation was embedded in operational processes that included supervision of HR coordinators, coordination with social compliance auditors, and hands-on orchestration of H2B onboarding logistics such as securing social security numbers and facilitating banking relationships for temporary workers.
Sterling Background Check functioned as a critical BackGround Screening element in Trident Seafoods’ seasonal hiring and compliance architecture, supporting large-scale applicant screening and identity verification while aligning with federally mandated drug testing oversight and privacy workflows.

Integrations and system orchestration were validated in collaboration with IT, with the Continuous Improvement Lead helping to design and test system interfaces and resolve incidents discovered during testing. The program included formal Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare phases to stabilize integrations and operations following deployment.
