| Maintenance Experts | Legacy | MEX Maintenance | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 | In 2017 Tyrecycle Pty Ltd deployed MEX Maintenance as its Enterprise Asset Management solution across its New South Wales manufacturing footprint to improve reliability of its TDF production operations. The implementation was led from site operations and plant management and targeted maintenance and production uptime as primary objectives for the NSW business unit. The MEX Maintenance instance was configured as a plant-level CMMS with implementation of core modules for work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, asset registers and tagging, spare parts inventory control and Kanban-driven consumables management. Configuration emphasized maintenance planning, automated scheduling and technician workflows, with mobile-enabled work order execution and standard maintenance checklists to support lean Six Sigma process improvements. Operational integration focused on linking MEX Maintenance to on-site production automation and supplier-facing Kanban workflows to ensure timely replenishment of tools and consumables. The deployment supported cross-functional use across maintenance, operations, procurement and warehouse teams at NSW sites, and enabled maintenance to coordinate with export logistics and customer delivery processes described in operations leadership notes. Governance included site-level maintenance policy updates, training programs to embed lean maintenance practices, and establishment of Kanban procurement rules and maintenance KPIs. Outcomes recorded in the implementation narrative include an increase in NSW plant uptime from 74% to 95% following the MEX Maintenance and production line automation effort, annual consumable savings of 80000 AUD from Kanban and stock controls, and a 6 percent reduction in manufacturing cost equating to 150000 AUD in annual savings tied to broader operational improvement initiatives. |
