In 2019, UK Power Networks implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform to consolidate core finance and controlling capability across the business. The initiative focused on establishing a single SAP S/4 HANA ledger and finance architecture to support corporate accounting, statutory reporting, and management accounting workflows for the utility.
The deployment centered on the SAP S/4 HANA FICO suite, with configuration of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling modules. Workstreams addressed ledger design, chart of accounts rationalization, cost center and internal order structures, master data stabilization, period-end close orchestration, and configuration of tax and statutory reporting frameworks consistent with ERP Financial functional requirements.
AmDhan acted as the system integrator and delivery partner, with a SAP S/4 HANA FICO Lead Consultant and Solution Architect embedded with UK Power Networks to lead solution design, requirements-to-configuration, testing, and cutover planning. Governance was formalized through finance process owner sign-offs, change control boards, and staged rollout sequencing across finance teams and shared service functions to operationalize the SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial environment.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, UK Power Networks implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR platform. The deployment centralized core HR records and employee master data for an organization of 5,960 employees operating in the United Kingdom.
The implementation included SAP HCM Payroll configuration and an implemented support scope for SAP SuccessFactors modules, specifically SAP SF EC, Recruitment Management and PMGM. Functional coverage targeted payroll processing, employee centralization, recruitment workflows and performance and goal management, reflecting typical Core HR and talent management capabilities.
Operational ownership rested with HR and payroll functions, with the system supporting talent acquisition teams and line managers through recruitment and PMGM workflows. The SAP HCM (HR) platform served as the primary system of record for compensation and performance related HR processes.
Governance and ongoing support were formalized through consultant engagements, including a documented contract from November 2017 to October 2018 in London that provided SAP HCM and Payroll support along with SAP SuccessFactors EC, Recruitment Management and PMGM module implementation and support. This arrangement institutionalized module-level support and application lifecycle activities for payroll and cloud talent modules.

| AMT-SYBEX, part of Capita plc | Legacy | Ellipse | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, UK Power Networks implemented Ellipse as its Enterprise Asset Management system. The deployment used Ellipse as the central asset register providing a single source of truth for electrical plant and civil structures across distribution networks, and the implementation was delivered by vendor AMT-SYBEX, part of Capita plc, with solution development carried out closely with EDF Energy to align network inspection and maintenance workflows.
Ellipse was configured to manage asset hierarchy, inspection and maintenance schedules, and the work order lifecycle, capturing detailed technical attributes and location information for plant and civil structures. The AMT-SYBEX Field Data Collection System FDCS was used in conjunction with Ellipse to deliver accurate instructions to field engineers and to enable remote updating of central asset records from the field, supporting standardized inspection forms and asset condition recording.
Operational coverage targeted field operations, maintenance teams, and asset management across distribution sites, with mobile field-access enabling crews to receive tasking and report inspection outcomes back into the central register. The integration between Ellipse and FDCS created a continuous update loop between field data capture and the central asset register, maintaining consistent asset data across the network.
Governance emphasized a centralized asset register to standardize data, inspection history, and maintenance workflows across business functions. Ellipse was chosen because of its proven reputation as a world class Enterprise Asset Management system tailored for infrastructure intensive industries, with significant implementations across the United Kingdom's utility and transport sectors.
