The on premises infrastructure could not sustain the required connectivity, so the Azure deployment was used to provision the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations instance with higher network throughput and scalability for ERP workloads.
Integration work established more than 200 real time connections between Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and the existing SAP environment, enabling synchronized transactional flows between point of sale modernization efforts and central financial systems. The implementation focused on retail operations and finance business functions, aligning POS modernization with enterprise ERP financial processing and operational reconciliation.
Governance and rollout emphasized performance and latency controls, colocating systems to reduce synchronization risk and to create an environment that supports future solution adoption. Company leadership noted that having SAP on Azure provides the capacity and agility to quickly adopt the solutions needed today while laying the groundwork for future initiatives, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations serving as the ERP Financial foundation for those efforts.

Configuration work included establishment of time rules, labor categories, payroll interfaces, and standard reporting suites to support store, field, and corporate scheduling and compliance workflows.
Integration work connected UKG Workforce Central with the broader UFA application landscape, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement as listed, IFS applications for operational data alignment, Cardlock and Cardlink systems for fuel site operations, and ServiceNow for ticketing and access provisioning. The technical approach followed multi environment promotion practices across Development, Test, and Production, and included technical interface documentation and coordination between systems analysts and external vendor channels referenced in operational support notes.
Governance and support were structured around a Level 3 Systems Support Analyst model, with on call rotations, ITIL informed change control, and formal approval gates for configuration and code changes. Operational responsibilities included executing authorized user access requests, maintaining role based security, developing technical test scripts for break fix and enhancement work, and producing configuration documentation to sustain ongoing application maintenance and cross team knowledge transfer.
