| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011 United India Insurance implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial backbone to consolidate payroll, time management and financial posting for its India operations. The deployment used ECC 6.0 application servers and standard SAP HCM payroll and time management components to serve HR and payroll business functions within the insurer’s nationwide office footprint.
The implementation concentrated on SAP payroll configuration, including Payroll Areas, Control Records, wage type design, pay scale structure, ESG and PSG grouping, pay scale types, groups and levels, and payroll schema and rules. Functional configuration covered allowances, arrears and deductions, FI posting, off cycle workbench, retroactive accounting and payroll features such as ABKRS, LGMST and TARIF. Statutory deduction configuration included EPF, ESI, LWF, pre tax and income tax rules, and payroll integration work included defining symbolic accounts and assigning wage types to G/L accounts for payroll to finance reconciliation.
Time management scope included work schedules, time recording, attendance and absence quotas, time evaluation and time schemas, and configuring front end capture with CATS. Personnel calculation rules were written to automate accruals and entitlements for casual leave, annual leave, comp off, overtime and vacation. Custom infotypes were created for Full and Final Settlements, Employee Entitlements, Vehicle and Housing loan management, and these custom modules were integrated with the ESS MSS portal for self service time and leave workflows.
Technical and governance activities documented in the engagement included detailed system configuration documentation, unit and manual testing of custom modules, LSWM batch input recording and data uploads into SAP, and authoring functional specifications for custom reports such as SALARY JV and office level payroll reports. The work instrumented core HCM functional workflows within SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and explicitly linked payroll processing to financial posting, aligning HR payroll operations with the insurer’s ERP Financial controls.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, United India Insurance implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR system to centralize personnel administration and organizational data for its human resources function. The deployment positioned SAP HCM (HR) to manage employee master records, organizational management, time and absence frameworks, and pay element structures across the insurer's HR operations.
Configuration work documented for United India Insurance included Organizational Management OM and Personnel Administration PA configuration, creation and assignment of new PA and PSA groupings, and implementation of Public Holiday Calendars. Work schedule rules were updated and absence quota structures were revised with several new quotas implemented, while employee grade hierarchies were configured. New wage type configuration and mapping of wage groupings were also executed to align pay elements with the HCM data model.
A SAP HCM Functional Consultant carried out the noted support activities between January 2019 and July 2020, applying configuration changes within SAP HCM (HR) to operationalize HR policies. The configuration emphasis centered on governance of groupings and grades to standardize HR workflows, and on time, absence, and wage type settings to support downstream payroll and HR processing. The narrative describes Core HR functional implementation scope, module configuration, and governance adjustments without specifying third party integrations.

In 2018, United India Insurance implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management solution. The engagement appears under the title SCCD 7.6 SUPPORT for client UIIC and was executed in an off site support mode by a dedicated Maximo support team.
IBM Maximo provided core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities including asset registry and hierarchy, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, inventory and spare parts control, and service request handling, aligned with standard EAM functional workflows. The role on the engagement is recorded as Maximo Consultant, focused on ongoing support and configuration of these functional modules.
The technical deployment referenced EAM SCCD 7.5 tooling with Web Sphere as the application server and DB2 as the persistence layer, indicating an application server and relational database architecture for IBM Maximo. This architecture supported the support and maintenance activities rather than a greenfield implementation.
Astin technology is listed as the system integrator, delivering an off site four person team, designation Maximo Consultant, for the SCCD 7.6 SUPPORT engagement with a documented duration of December 2018 to March 2018. Operational coverage centered on Maximo support workflows for UIIC asset operations, with the SI-managed governance model coordinating configuration, incident handling, and ongoing application maintenance.
