In 2015 United Nations ESCAP implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as its Core HR system to consolidate HR, recruiting and staff mobility processes. The work included an upgrade to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and an end to end implementation of a custom Staff Mobility module within the Oracle PeopleSoft HCM footprint.
The implementation delivered functional modules and configurations across Profile Management, E Recruitment and custom Staff Mobility capabilities. Person Profile was used to represent applicants and Non Person Profile was used to represent job openings to recreate applicant and job opening workflows, the solution leveraged Activity Guide, Attachment Framework and Tab Folder Structure native to PeopleSoft 9.2 to structure transactions and attachments.
Technical and integration work included Keep Drop analysis and detailed data mapping of PeopleSoft objects during the upgrade, retrofit activities as part of the upgrade team, and PeopleSoft Single Sign On integration using LDAP. The project also integrated LinkedIn to import applicant profiles and implemented reCaptcha to secure access to the PeopleSoft system.
Governance and process work centered on Fit Gap analysis, design of requirements for the custom modules and configuration of eligibility rules for staff movement within the organization. The implementation focused on HR and talent acquisition workflows, profile driven application flows, and object decommissioning coordination through data mapping and keep drop decisions.
