In 2014, UnityPoint Health implemented Infor Lawson. The implementation targeted ERP Financial processes across the health system and established a standard UPH platform for Lawson to unify financial operations.
Project execution centered on formal project management processes including project control, risk management, change management, issue resolution, progress reporting, reviews, and project documentation. Project staff participated with UPH Lawson Track Leads to review project status, issues, and risks, and provided administrative support to Lawson Track leads, key stakeholders, project team and affiliate team members.
Functional configuration emphasized ERP Financial modules common to the category, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and financial reporting, configured to support standardized UPH financial workflows. Project resources researched and resolved ERP project issues, unexpected events and process flaws, recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet project requirements.
Operational rollout involved acting as a liaison between the ERP project team and new affiliate member organizations to plan transition and adoption of standardized processes on the Infor Lawson platform. Project governance required reporting project progress, budget and status to Lawson Governance and recommending corrective action when necessary, with escalation of unresolved issues to the Lawson Governance Committee and leaders of functional areas in accordance with internal project policies.

In 2014, UnityPoint Health implemented Infor Lawson Absence and Leave Management to centralize Absence and Leave Management for its human resources operations. The deployment targeted administrative support workflows for the VP and CHRO office, 11 direct reports including directors and managers, and a team of 32 Human Resources Associates supporting multiple campus affiliates including Peoria and Proctor Campus.
Infor Lawson Absence and Leave Management was configured to manage core absence and leave processes, enrollments for leaves of absence and benefits, and timecard related transactions used by HR staff. Functional capabilities emphasized absence tracking, leave enrollment workflows, payroll transaction support for HR personnel, and administrative recordkeeping such as organizational charts, policies and procedure uploads, and secure handling of confidential HR documents.
The implementation was instrumented to work alongside existing operational systems referenced by HR staff, including OnBase for processing employee expense reimbursements and PNC charge reconciliation, and AskHR ticketing for employee issue intake and escalation. Lawson transactions were used by Talent Management and frontline HR for enrollments and walk-in support, while AskHR served as the escalation and tracking mechanism with tickets created and expedited for timely resolution and communication back to employees.
Governance and operational controls focused on role-based administrative processes, calendar and event coordination for executive leadership, maintenance of distribution lists and meeting minutes, and payroll reconciliation workflows for HR staff that feed biweekly payroll communications. Execution responsibilities included assisting with executive level performance reviews, coordinating campus recognition programs, and enforcing confidentiality and process ownership for HR record management.
