In 2015, UOL implemented SAP HCM (HR) as the core platform for its Core HR program, establishing a centralized HR application footprint for the company. The SAP HCM (HR) implementation targeted standard human capital management capabilities and was positioned alongside a broader SAP technology stack to support HR reporting and portal-based access.
Implementation work included configuration and administration of SAP HCM functional areas consistent with Core HR deployments, aligned to employee master data, organizational management, time and attendance workflows, and payroll interfaces. The program was delivered with attention to system administration, including user administration and knowledge management, and included implementation and administration tasks for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 to support HR reporting.
The technical architecture integrated SAP HCM with SAP BW running on SAP HANA, and with SAP NetWeaver Portal and Single Sign On to provide consolidated authentication and portal access. Customization of Central User Administration CUA was executed to centralize account provisioning, and security profile administration was applied across SAP ERP and BI systems, supported by Oracle database management and Red Hat Linux operating system administration for the underlying stack. Operations also covered administration of SAPLogon, BEx, BO clients, homogeneous system copies, and upgrades including NetWeaver BW 7.01 to NW 7.3 and SAP ECC BW upgrades.
Governance and operational processes were formalized through SAP Solution Manager for application lifecycle management, transport management and request transport controls, and routine application support practices such as dump analysis, performance troubleshooting and SAP incident management. Change control was reinforced through transport administration and security governance, while add-on and plug-in application administration were included in ongoing support and maintenance routines.
