In 2019 Upfield UK implemented SAP S/4 HANA as the ERP Financial core within a global SAP HANA transformation program. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment was executed alongside coordinated multi-system regional go-lives to establish a unified finance and operational backbone.
The implementation focused on ERP Financial capabilities, configured for core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, financial close and controlling functionality typical of S/4 HANA finance. The program design accounted for integration points with procurement and supplier orchestration, invoice management and planning functionality, aligning SAP S/4 HANA financial processes with Ariba, VIM, IBP and BPC as part of end to end process flows.
Architecture and integrations were a central element, with SAP S/4 HANA running on the SAP HANA platform and an integration layer supporting more than 150 interfaces. The landscape included multiple complementary systems in scope, specifically Ariba, SuccessFactors, PLM, EWM, VIM, TPM, IBP, BPC and BW, with Wipro acting as the system integrator responsible for technical delivery and cross-system coordination.
