In 2022 Vancity Credit Union engaged Avanade to plan and estimate an implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The engagement ran from January 2022 to February 2022 and focused on preparing scope, estimates and a statement of work for an ERP Financial deployment to support Vancity’s enterprise finance organization. Vancity is a member owned financial co-operative headquartered in Vancouver with CA$28.2 billion in assets, 60 branches and more than 543,000 members, which informed the planning scale and stakeholder footprint.
As Solution Architect the engagement led workshops, solution scoping and planning, estimation, resourcing and contracting activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The planning work scoped category-aligned capabilities typical of an ERP Financial program, including core financial management such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, treasury and budgeting, together with financial reporting and compliance workflows.
Deliverables focused on defining deployment structure and program resourcing, producing a detailed SOW and resource plan to enable a phased rollout across Vancity’s finance teams and branch operations. Governance and process activities emphasized workshop-driven requirements validation, stakeholder sign-off gates and aligning contractual resourcing with delivery milestones led by the Solution Architect in collaboration with Avanade.

In 2011, Vancity Credit Union implemented Temenos T24 as its Core Banking platform as part of a core banking transformation program. The initiative was governed by Vancity's Client Leadership team, comprising Directors and VPs, who led strategic decisions and program prioritization.
Temenos T24 was configured to centralize core account processing and to provide deposit and lending engines, payments orchestration and general ledger capabilities consistent with Core Banking functionality. The implementation emphasized parameter-driven product configuration, workflow automation for servicing and exception handling, and centralized transaction processing logic.
Governance and rollout oversight remained with the Client Leadership team, with Directors and VPs directing sequencing across retail banking, operations, finance and risk functions. The Temenos T24 core was connected to front-end channels and back-office systems through interface layers to establish a unified transaction hub and operational standardization.
