In 2011, VEKA Germany selected SAP Business Communications Management to provide an IP based, company wide communications and contact center platform, placing the implementation squarely in the Collaboration category. SAP Business Communications Management was installed into VEKA's SAP system landscape to unify telephony and embed communications functions alongside core SAP applications.
The implementation emphasized contact center capabilities and unified telephony across VEKA sites, with computer telephony integration to link call handling and call routing into business processes. Core functional components implemented included IP based call control, contact center queuing and routing, and CTI integration to surface telephony events inside SAP user interfaces.
Integration work focused on tying SAP Business Communications Management into VEKA's SAP CRM and SAP ERP footprint, enabling communications context to flow into customer service and order management workflows. The solution was installed into the existing SAP landscape, creating a communications layer that interacts with CRM case handling and ERP transaction contexts for operational teams.
UNIORG served as the implementation partner, responsible for installing SAP Business Communications Management and executing the SAP landscape integration.
