| Rossum.ai | Legacy | Rossum.ai Platform | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Veolia deployed the Rossum.ai Platform to centralize invoice processing as an AP Automation initiative for its Shared Service Center. The deployment centralized inbound invoices to entity-specific email inboxes for a Shared Service Center serving 30 Veolia entities and included onboarding 60,000 suppliers to a digital non-paper invoicing process.
The Rossum.ai Platform was configured to perform intelligent document processing with a validation interface used by Veolia’s AI Associates, a workflow engine orchestrating document states, and a PO matching capability that produces standardized EDI output. Rossum captured and normalized invoice data across disparate formats and generated EDI messages that were paired with original attachments for downstream consumption.
The implementation integrated Rossum with a UiPath robot built by the RPA consultancy InnovationPath, which retrieves inbound emails, routes entity-specific documents into Rossum, and forwards Rossum’s EDI payloads and attachments to each entity’s downstream ERP. This architecture positioned Rossum as the central extraction and validation layer between a centralized email intake and ERP endpoints, enabling automated handoffs and exception routing.
Operational governance shifted the most technically skilled former data entry clerks into AI Associate roles focused on validation and exception handling inside the Rossum interface. The Shared Service Center instituted a unified invoice navigation process, centralized ownership for invoice posting across entities, and expanded its operational scope from data capture to end-to-end intelligent document processing.
Veolia reported explicit outcomes from the Rossum.ai Platform AP Automation deployment, including an 8x increase in processing speed, up to 87.5 percent time saved per document, a 90 percent reduction in manual workload and a 90 percent automation rate to date. The SSC is pursuing further automation to approach a 98 percent automation ambition through additional UiPath robot rules, Rossum EDI capabilities and enhanced supplier communication.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Veolia implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a group-wide SuccessFactors HRIS rollout. The deployment covered an international rollout with countries deployed between September 2017 and September 2018 including the US, Canada, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, aligning the Compensation Management layer with the broader HRIS program.
The implementation work centered on configuration and operationalization of Performance Management and Goal Management modules, supporting the Compensation and Benefits stream. Deliverables produced included a Configuration Workbook, Test and Release Workbook, Train the Trainer booklet and end user guides, and hands-on configuration actions were executed against PM and GM components to support calibrated compensation processes.
Integration and coordination activity emphasized linkage with Employee Central and the Compensation and Benefits modules, with deployment phases coordinated between module teams. The program included structured preparatory workshops conducted in pairs with the client Veolia, ticket creation and incident management with the SAP SuccessFactors editor, and non-regression testing during SAP SuccessFactors upgrade releases to protect compensation configurations and workflows.
Governance and rollout practices included phased deployment coordination, workshop-based knowledge transfer, and targeted skills development for project newcomers on PM and GM functional areas. Operational ownership focused on HR function coverage across the named countries, with ongoing configuration management, incident triage, and skill transfer to internal teams to sustain SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and related Performance Management capabilities.

| Hexagon | Legacy | HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Veolia implemented HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) as its Enterprise Asset Management platform. The engagement is documented with ongoing Asset Management functional consultancy and project management assistance beginning December 2020, supporting operational rollout and configuration work for asset-centric business functions.
The HxGN EAM implementation focused on core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities such as master asset registry and hierarchy configuration, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, spare parts and inventory control, mobile field workforce enablement, and condition-based monitoring and reporting. Configuration emphasized standard EAM workflows for asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and execution, with role-based access for maintenance planners, asset managers, and field technicians.
The project technical environment referenced IBM Maximo and Infor EAM as part of the broader application landscape, with HxGN EAM deployed alongside those systems within Veolias asset technology stack. Implementation activities addressed system coexistence and data alignment in the technical environment, while preserving the HxGN EAM configuration model for centralized asset and maintenance records.
Governance and rollout were driven by project management assistance and functional consultancy, establishing maintenance workflow governance, change control for configuration updates, and staged cutover processes for operational teams. Operational scope centered on maintenance operations, asset management, and field service functions, with ongoing consultancy supporting stabilization and incremental configuration changes.
