In 2018, Verifi implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its core ERP Financial system, migrating from Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise to centralize billing and accounting workflows. Microsoft Dynamics GP was positioned to support Verifi accounting and revenue operations, providing a single application for billing, revenue reconciling, and payables coordination across the organization.
The implementation focused on billing and revenue recognition workflows, with configuration to capture large volumes of billable data and maintain billing templates that originate in Excel. Functional capabilities implemented include accounts receivable and accounts payable processing, month end revenue reporting, and ledger reconciliation, aligned with typical ERP Financial processes such as general ledger posting and transactional reconciliation.
Architecture and integrations were built around an Azure hosted GP billing system, with transactional data collected and maintained in Azure and reconciled against Excel billing files. Microsoft Dynamics GP served as the system of record for billing, while operational integrations connected Finance to customer support, the internal integration team, regional management, and national sales to support new customer onboarding and cross functional revenue handoffs.
Operational governance centered on centralized month end revenue close and reconciliations, with designated points of contact in accounting and revenue management overseeing data integrity between the GP billing system and external spreadsheets. The rollout impacted accounting, revenue management, accounts payable, and customer onboarding processes, establishing structured workflows for billing template maintenance, revenue reconciliation, and interdepartmental coordination in the Greater Los Angeles Area site.
