| SAP | Oracle NetSuite ERP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, VIZIO implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support core finance operations and ERP Financial functions. The deployment replaced Oracle NetSuite ERP and focused on stabilizing general ledger, month end close, and financial reporting processes.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation emphasized general ledger management, coordinated end of month closing activities, and monthly reconciliations, with configuration and reporting to maintain account analysis and apply GAAP. Financial planning and budgeting capabilities were used to manage a $47M annual marketing budget and to generate inputs for pricing proposals, with support provided to the Senior Pricing Director and the V.P. of Sales & Marketing.
Operational coverage included the Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT departments, with the IT organization coordinating the transition from Oracle NetSuite ERP to SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate transactional finance processes. The project established monthly reporting cadences between finance and commercial teams to surface how components of variable compensation plans affected revenue and program reviews.
Governance changes included a formalized month end close coordination process, recurring monthly meetings to review results with sales and marketing, and strengthened audit readiness through internal control and year end audit support. The implementation positioned VIZIO to centralize core ERP Financial workflows in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 while preserving cross functional financial analysis and reporting governance.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Chat (formerly Salesforce Live Agent) | Chatbots and Conversational AI | AI-Powered Application | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 VIZIO deployed Salesforce Chat (formerly Salesforce Live Agent) on its public website, implementing a web-facing conversational interface. The application is categorized as Chatbots and Conversational AI and was used to capture real-time customer support and pre-sales inquiries through an embedded site widget.
Salesforce Chat was configured to provide real-time messaging, proactive chat invitations, queue based routing, agent presence and transcript capture, and canned response workflows. The deployment used the Salesforce Chat agent console for live handling and included session transfer and chat logging capabilities typical of chat and conversational platforms.
The technical footprint centered on a client side web widget that connected to the Salesforce cloud chat service, with chat transcripts linked back into Salesforce records to support customer service workflows. Governance focused on chat routing rules, scripted responses and agent training to operationalize the web channel within VIZIO’s customer support organization.

| Palantir Technologies | Legacy | Palantir Foundry | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, VIZIO deployed Palantir Foundry as part of an Analytics and BI initiative, with work in Texas beginning in April 2021 and continuing to the present. The engagement concentrated on end to end data ingestion and ETL into cloud storage tiers, using Azure Data Factory, Spark SQL, Azure Storage, Data Lake Analytics and transforming persistent datasets in Azure Databricks.
The implementation focused on data engineering and transformation modules, including migration of Jupyter Python Pandas workloads to PySpark transformations executed inside Palantir Foundry. Engineers built PySpark scripts in Palantir Foundry and scheduled workflows, created high concurrency clusters in Databricks for large scale transformations, and relied on SnowSQL and Snowpipe auto ingest for staged loads into Snowflake as part of the ingestion pipeline.
Integrations spanned cloud and on premise endpoints, with connections established between on premise servers and Azure Cosmos DB for cloud migration, CosmosDB MongoDB APIs for operational storage, and Snowflake to Azure Storage Blob pipelines using Event Grid services and notification integration. Streaming and near real time processing was handled via Kafka into Spark streaming APIs with persistence into Mongo databases, while Azure VM hosted microservices were migrated to Databricks where appropriate.
Operational governance and orchestration included Cron job based scheduling, Logic Apps for Databricks script scheduling, and routine health checks surfaced to BI consumers using Power BI and Tableau. Platform operations also covered Azure SQL database provisioning, monitoring and restore procedures, Microsoft SQL Server to Azure SQL migrations, and SQL and PL SQL development for stored procedures and query analysis. Search and indexing topology was managed with Apache Solr and Apache Zookeeper to scale indexing and support cross platform data extraction.
Palantir Foundry served as the central platform tying these capabilities together, supporting data ingestion, transformation, analytics and reporting use cases that impacted data engineering, analytics and BI teams and client reporting workflows. The implementation narrative emphasizes Palantir Foundry, Analytics and BI, and the cross cloud architecture integrating Snowflake, Azure services, Databricks, Kafka and MongoDB.
