In 2015, VNG implemented Oracle E-Business Suite. The deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities to support the Financial Accountant team and centralize period close and reporting workflows across the company in Vietnam.
The implementation covered configuration of transactional and subledger capabilities, with interfaces built for Inventory, Order Management, Purchase Order, Receivable, and Payable modules. Work included developing FSG reports for consolidation, supporting the Financial Accountant team to close periods in Oracle E-Business Suite, and creating ad hoc reports when new business lines emerged. Ongoing technical activities emphasized report tuning and remediation for slow running requests.
Integrations were implemented using webservice based interfaces, leveraging both RESTful and SOAP protocols to ingest and synchronize transactional data into Oracle E-Business Suite across the finance modules. Oracle E-Business Suite was integrated with the Tax Department eInvoice system for invoice validation and with an Electronic Signature solution using HSM to capture signed artifacts. These integrations provided validation and signature flows into the ERP Financial environment.
Operational governance focused on embedding technical stewardship within the finance organization, with finance technologists supporting period close, interface maintenance, report development, and performance tuning for Oracle E-Business Suite. Support activities prioritized application level guidance for the Financial Accountant team and iterative refinement of consolidation and reporting processes.
